In 2016 a craniofacial reconstruction project was carried out from a middle-aged subject who lived in the late eastern Roman Empire. The remains were discovered in a grave in the roman site of Viminacium, Serbia. The project was carried out with the collaboration of the Institute of professional training in forensic sciences (Spain) and the Archaeological Institute of Belgrade (Serbia).
The reconstruction that I carried out was done on the skull printed in a mixture of ABS and PLA, previously obtained from the photogrammetry and prepared in Agisoft Photoscan Pro, Zbrush and Cura. All the muscles were built step by step in its closest measure, using the Manchester method (Wilkinson, C.) and from the continuous osteological observations of the skull.
